4 Tips to prevent Hair Loss

Studies have shown that hair loss in women and men are becoming more common throughout the world. This may be due to several causes such as pollution, stress, reaction to medications, and diet and vitamin deficiency, among others. Regardless of the cause however, there are ways you can prevent this from happening.

Tip 1: Take Care of Your Hair

You can minimize hair loss by taking care of your hair, and that means not subjecting it to heat such as with the use of blow dryers and straightening irons. There are products that can soften your hair and make it look shiny but excessive use of these products can potentially cause damage.
The latest research shows that naturally drying your hair can prevent hair loss, so it's an option you should consider. At the same time you should slow down on the bleaching and dyeing as some of the ingredients they use are harmful to the scalp and follicles.

Tip 2: Style Your Hair Carefully

The way you style your hair may accelerate hair loss and damage, so avoid overly tight ponytails as well as corn rows if your hair shows signs of damage. The latest medical research has also shown that using heated rollers leads to excessive loss.

Tip 3: Know How to Wash Your Hair Properly

Wash your hair with mild shampoo and be gentle. Aside from smelling good, regular washing reduces the risk of infection that could lead to hair loss. Apart from using mild shampoo, make it a point not to brush wet hair or rub vigorously after taking a shower. Instead you should just pat your hair dry and comb it with a soft bristle brush. Try to limit your showers to one a day, and skip the shampoo if possible on alternating days.

Tip 4: Maintain a Balanced Diet

Apart from the tips already mentioned, a balanced diet can also promote hair growth and prevent it from receding. According to researchers, hair loss can be prevented or minimized with a diet that contains lots of vegetables and fruits. In addition, your hair will also benefit if your diet is rich in iron, which you can get from supplements as well as liver, pork, pumpkin seeds and leafy vegetables.
Your hair will also benefit from protein because the lack of it leads to hair loss. Furthermore, there is solid scientific evidence showing that protein is rich in amino acids which the hair needs in order to grow. While protein supplements are available, you can also meet your protein needs by eating lean beef, soy, eggs, yogurt, cheese, milk and protein bars on a regular basis.

While these methods and techniques help prevent hair loss, they're not as effective in promoting hair growth. There are many hair growth solutions available, but as far as clinical tests and scientific evidence goes, the best product available now is Minoxidil. Unlike other hair growth products being sold today, Minoxidil has been clinically proven to be effective, and there are many testimonials from users proving its effectiveness.

Diet and Exercise for weight loss

Combine Exercise With Diet for Long Lasting Weight Loss

Whether the goal is to look and feel better or to improve health, many people want to lose weight. Until someone invents a magic pill, healthy weight loss comes from changing diet and exercise habits. But what happens when one diets without exercising, or exercises without eating well? Is dieting or exercising alone enough to lose weight and to keep it off?
If you only exercise...
In theory, exercising alone should cause weight loss. After all, exercise burns calories, and burning more calories than one uses results in weight loss. In real life however, this is not always the case. One reason that exercising alone does not usually shed pounds is that exercisers compensate for the calories burned by eating more. The amount of calories burned during exercise is often less than we think. This problem is augmented when one uses the calorie counter on cardio machines to estimate calories burned, as the machine often overestimates. If working out is used to justify a few extra treats, the result is usually weight maintenance or weight gain. It takes a lot longer to burn off the calories than it does to consume them! Also, regular exercise can increase appetite, which leads to eating more. If the increased food consumption more than makes up for the calories burned in a workout, the scale will creep up.
If you only diet...
Although making changes to diet can result in weight loss, there are some negative effects of dieting alone. One downside of calorie restriction is a slower metabolism, which means that the body burns fewer calories per day. This slow down, causes a plateau in weight loss, even though the caloric intake stays constant. Also, diets are often unrealistic. While some people may be able to restrict certain foods for a few months, most will not be able to maintain it for the long term. Because diets slow the metabolism, most dieters gain back the weight lost, plus more, when they get off the diet. Finally, dieting alone causes loss of muscle as well as body fat. Even thought the scale shows a change, the percentage of body fat may remain the same.
If you exercise and follow a healthy diet...
It is no surprise that combining a healthy diet with regular exercise is the most effective way to lose the weight and keep it off. Exercise helps to speed up, or at least maintain the metabolic rate despite a reduced caloric intake. Exercise also reduces the amount of muscle mass lost during dieting. This means that when the scale shows a drop in weight, the weight lost is likely body fat. Most importantly, people who exercise are more likely to keep the weight off. Even if exercise does not result in weight loss, it is a key component in maintaining one's new figure.

How to Stop Smoking the Easiest Way

If you smoke a pack a day or less; pick a day, wrap your head around the process of quitting and your commitment to quit and then just do it on that day. If you smoke more than a pack a day, it is very helpful, even safer, to taper down to under a pack before you actually quit. If you have other addictions it becomes a little bit more complicated. First quit addictions such as alcohol, cocaine, meth. Most people don't like hearing that, but the problem is these other addictions can often create triggers to smoke cigarettes, so you can end up going back and forth if you don't quit these other addictions first.
Your body is already an expert at making you a non-smoker. The body detoxes you of nicotine in less than 48 hours. So your body has been trying to make you a non-smoker between every cigarette you have ever smoked. It is the habit that is the big hook for most of the people. This, of course, combines with nicotine as the addictive process, which then perpetuates the cycle. Hypnosis and self-hypnosis work in the same area of the brain where habits reside. The subconscious is the domain of hypnosis and the domain of habit in the brain and the body. This is why hypnosis works to stop smoking the easy way.

After you quit smoking, the good news is that within ten to fifteen years your chance of chronic illness from smoking reverts back to as if you never smoked. You can shorten that time period considerably by becoming proactive in your recovery. This is more noticeable in the first few days after you quit. Within two to three days your risk of heart attack or stroke drops tremendously. Your blood pressure drops, your breath smells better, your skin smells better, numerous other positive benefits happen within a very short period of time. And of course, within two to three days all the nicotine leaves your system.

So the next question becomes: "how do you become proactive in your recovery?" It is good to quit smoking but in my view it is only going half way. The other half is becoming active in detoxifying and helping your cardiovascular and respiratory system recover. How you do this is by very deliberately detoxing after you quit: drink lots of water, get lots of exercise, sweat, do a liver cleanse, do a cellular cleanse. Lose weight because toxins are stored in the fatty tissue of your body. Replenish your body nutritionally with a whole host of minerals and vitamins.
Get on a good, solid, super nutritional diet. Eat the right foods and this will help shorten that recovery time considerably. Shoot for, let's say, five to seven years for a full recovery, depending on how long you smoked and how much you smoked. The best way is to begin now... and you can do it!
Joseph R. Giove, has helped thousands of people quit smoking over the last 25 years. He is a biomedical engineer and a clinical hypnotist. Joseph has created a video series to help you become free of the habit of addiction of smoking cigarettes. If you need assistance, he helps people all over the world through phone sessions and private sessions to quit smoking through hypnosis.

Signs and Symptoms of Melanoma Skin Cancer

Melanoma Skin Cancer is started in the cells that produce pigments. These cells are called Melanocytes. The Melanin that is the cause of skin, eyes and hair colour is the result of these cells. According to the NCI (National Institute of Cancer), there are over 68,000 new cases and near 9,000 deaths of Melanoma Skin Cancer each year in US.

The first sign of melanoma is normally a change in shape or colour and maybe size of a currently existed mole. You should see your doctor if you see a sudden or continuous change in the shape and size or colour of a mole. Sometimes melanoma appears on your skin as a new mole.
It's very easy to memorize what you look for. There are five parameters involved that we can refer to as "ABCDE" that are:

1. Asymmetry: when the shape of one half of the mole is not the same as the shape of the other half.
2. Border: when the pigment is spread into the nearby skin so the borders and edges are normally blurred and ragged.
3. Colour: it is normally uneven. Normally there are brown or black shades or some areas are white, gray and red or sometimes pink.
4. Diameter: the size can be very different but normally the melanomas are larger than 6 millimetres or ¼ inch.
5. Evolving: when the mole has changed during the past few weeks or months.
But have in mind that not all the melanomas show all of the above mentioned features. Sometimes the changes are only in one or two of the ABCDE.
There are some other warning signs and symptoms:
a. When you see a new bump
b. When colour is spread into the nearby skin areas
c. When you see a redness or swelling that is beyond the mole itself
d. When you feel pain
e. When you feel itching
f. When the mole bleeds
g. Sometimes oozing
h. Tenderness can be a sign as well
i. And scaly appearance
When the melanoma is more advanced, the texture of the mole may change. The skin becomes harder and the surface of the skin sometimes breaks down and scraped. Sometimes even bleeding has been reported and it may get itchy or painful.
Your doctor is definitely a person who can help you. Make sure if there is anything that bothers you, go and see your doctor.
What causes Melanoma Skin Cancer
The most dangerous cause of Melanoma Skin Cancer is the exposure to sunlight ultra violet rays. Melanocytes make more melanin under the sun light. That's why our skin is tanned under the sun. Scientist believe that enough exposure to UV radiation can hurt the DNA in melanocytes and causes them to grow more than normal and out of control.
It's good to know that Melanoma Skin Cancer happens more often in fair skin people than brown and black skin people. Fair or white skin people have less melanocyte cells in their skin hence more dangerous the UV ray is for them.
Doctors believe that Melanoma Skin Cancer is related not only to exposure to sun, but genetics plays a big role in this cancer. Because Melanoma Tumors can occur in the areas of the body that are not normally exposed to the sun. So people with family history of melanoma are more likely to develop the cancer. According to researches done by NCI (National Cancer Institute) One out of ten people diagnosed with melanoma have a family member who was previously diagnosed with the disease.
How to treat Melanoma Skin Cancer
Like most of the diseases and cancers, there is a good chance of good prognosis when the cancer is caught early. If the brown or black lesion has not spread beyond the skin surface, a simple surgery may be enough to cure the cancer.
But in more advanced cancer, the one that melanoma has spread to other parts of body, it is difficult to treat. According to NCI the chances of 5-year survival rate are:
1. 98% localised melanoma. 84% of melanoma cases are diagnosed at this stage
2. 62% if melanoma is spread under the skin to nearby lymph nodes
3. 16% if it spreads to distant parts of the body
In the last two cases doctors use Chemotherapy, radiation or biological therapy to treat the cancer.
How to prevent Melanoma Skin Cancer
It is not very easy to treat this cancer and it can take a lifelong, but it only takes some very simple precautions to decrease the risk.
The first and maybe the most important factor is avoiding tanning beds. Wearing sunscreens with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of above 15 is another simple step. Wearing hats, visors and tightly woven clothing is very good to block the sunlight UV ray. And the last one is staying out of the sun during 10 am and 4 pm when the sunlight is very strong and UV level is at the highest.

3 of the leading causes of skin cancer

Skin cancer is one of the commonest forms of this malignant disease. It is commonly caused by exposure of the skin to the sun. Before we talk about the 3 leading causes of skin cancer, let's take a look at the different types of skin cells and their basic functions. The top layer of the skin is called epidermis, and it has 3 major types of cells squamous, basal and melanocytes. Squamous cells line the inside of the skin, just below the visible outer layer. Below the layer of squamous cells are basal cells, which act as generators of new cells. The final layer of the epidermis consists of melanocytes. These cells produce melanin, a coloring pigment that determines your skin tone. This pigment also plays a vital role in protecting the skin from the harmful UV rays.
1. UV Radiations
A major cause of skin cancer is the ultra violet radiations from the sun. It is caused either due to long-term or short-term exposure to these harmful rays. The 2 common types of UV rays that affect the skin are UVA and UVB. Both the types of sun rays are known to be cancer causing. How do these rays work on damaging the skin cells? They go straight for the jugular - here, the DNA of the skin cells. Once the cell's code is damaged, the cells tend to multiply quickly, leading to cancerous growth. It is not just the sun's UV rays are harmful, even radiations from tanning bed and solarium have been found to be carcinogenic.
2. Chemicals
Many chemicals have also been found to cause non-melanoma cancer. Some of the harmful chemicals are arsenic, shale oil, petroleum products, soot, pitch, nicotine, coal-tar and creosote. People working in chemical factories or leather tanneries may be exposed to one or many of these carcinogenic chemicals. Their work conditions make their skin more vulnerable to the UV rays and to skin cancer.
3. Skin Conditions
Those suffering from skin conditions are prone to this form of cancer as the skin cells are already weak and can be easily affected by the carcinogens. Psoriasis, solar keratosis, Gorlin's syndrome, Xeroderma pigmentosum and eczema could increase the risk of skin cancer. These skin conditions do not by themselves cause skin cancer, but could hasten the formation of cancerous cells as they weaken the skin cells and reduce their natural ability to repair and renew.

How to take care of good teeth

When we see people with sparkling teeth and beautiful smiles, we should admire it because it is really great to see people gifted with such beautiful things. But, there are some people who feel jealous of such people for having such beautiful smiles and healthy teeth. But instead of being jealous, you should ask yourself that why didn't I have such teeth and smile? Well, you can't do much about your smile, but the condition of your teeth can be improved by taking a good and proper care of them. These days, people don't have time to brush their teeth properly and all they do is just a mere formality.
If you really want to have sparkling white teeth, then it is very important that you should spend an adequate time brushing your teeth. Not just brushing, but brushing in a proper manner because I have seen people brushing their teeth in a completely wrong manner. If you brush your teeth very hard, then your gums would start bleeding. Bleeding gums is not a good sign at all and it is very important that you should see a dentist at once. There are people who find brushing their teeth a boring and irritating job.

You should remember this thing that your teeth come into use every single day of your life. If you are suffering from any dental or oral problem, then you should go and see a dentist in the first place. Oral and dental problems get worse with time, so it is very important to get an appropriate treatment as soon as possible. I have also seen people who feel scared going to a dentist because they grew up hearing incidents from the people about their horrendous dental treatment. Those were the things of the past and there are no such things now.
We are living in the 21st century and the medical facilities that we are using today are highly advanced. Equipment's that are used in a dental clinic are no different. Almost all the dental clinics in the world use highly sophisticated equipment's so as to give painless treatment to their patients. Dental treatments are quite expensive, so if you have a dental insurance plan, then it is well and good. But if not, then you have to find a clinic that doesn't charge hefty fees from their patients. In order to find a cheap dental clinic in your city, you can take the help of the local directories or you can ask your friends.
If you are looking for a good dental office in Staten Island, then you should go and visit Brinley Dental because this dental office is providing some extra-ordinary oral and dental treatment facilities.

Tips on controlling diabetes with diet and exercise

Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is something that every diabetic is tasked with because the alternative is bleak. Medications or insulin shots can only do so much. Diet and exercise allow you to lessen the effects of diabetes on your body and life and help you thrive even with this diagnosis. In the case of type 2 diabetes, diet and exercise may even allow you to reverse this type of diabetes. Get in the game. Fight for your life and health. Diet and exercise is the best way to accomplish this.
The Outlook is Bleak
Not taking a proactive approach to diabetes treatment will lead to kidney disease, heart disease, blindness, high blood pressure, stroke, infections and wounds that are slow to heal or never heal, limb amputation and even falling into a diabetic coma when severe. Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is one of the best ways to ensure that this is not your present and future.
But you need not be afraid or feel powerless because simple changes to your lifestyle can produce amazing results and you will be able to live a long and productive life even if you have the more serious type 1 diabetes which is not curable or preventable.
Controlling Diabetes with Diet and Exercise
1. Controlling Diabetes with Diet
The word "diet" has such negative connotations and at the mere mention of it, many people recoil. At the mention of the word, most people think it means that you won't be able to eat anything you like, or anything delicious, or will be starving and so forth.
But when a diet for diabetes is talked about, it simply means a well thought out plan for eating. In some cases, you may even be able to still eat some "bad" foods on occasion as long as you are aware of how they will impact your diabetic eating plan and what adjustments you may need to make when you eat these "bad" foods so that your blood sugar levels do not go crazy and cause you problems.

In addition, creating a proper diabetes eating plan will help you get a better understanding of how various foods impact blood sugar levels which will help you make the decision on which foods to eliminate and which to include. For instance, soft drinks, refined grains, etc, have been shown to increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and also increasing inflammation in the body. Knowing this will help you make the choice to eliminate soft drinks (regular and diet) and hopefully encourage you to drink more water and to select complex carbs in placed of processed foods made from refined grains.
It is important to remember that a healing diabetes diet will vary from one diabetic to another. You have to find the diet that will work for you. Some diabetics may be able to eat certain foods whereas another many have to eliminate that food. There isn't one diet that will work in all cases. One may need to follow a low fat, high carbohydrate diet while another may need to follow a low carbohydrate, high vegetable diet, etc. Find what works for you.
While you may be confused about what to eat and what to avoid, you should be prepared to experiment with various recommended foods to see which ones raise your blood sugar levels and which ones help to normalize it.
To find which foods are best for controlling blood sugar, you need to monitor your blood sugar levels for a period of time such as two to three weeks. Measure your blood glucose levels first thing in the morning, after breakfast, after meals as well as snacks and also before you go to bed. Also measure the sugar levels before and after physical activity.
Once you have an understanding of how your blood sugar levels are affected, you will then be in a better position to create a diet plan that works for you and helps heal your body naturally.
2. Controlling Diabetes with Exercise
The other aspect of controlling diabetes is exercise. It is amazing how effective exercise can be against type 2 diabetes especially. The best thing you can do against diabetes is exercise. It is also the least expensive when you consider how much you have to spend on diabetes medications, insulin injections, etc. Effective exercise can be as simple as a walk or run, swimming, dancing, cycling, etc.

Moderate exercise performed consistently that leads to modest weight loss has been shown to prevent insulin resistance that can lead to pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
Those who have diabetes also benefit from regular exercise as exercise can not only help control blood glucose levels but can also help prevent serious complications from diabetes.
Exercising regularly is one of the best ways to improve insulin sensitivity. Insulin resistance is one of the main issues with the development of type 2 diabetes and results from the body not recognizing the insulin that is produced by the body which keeps glucose in the blood and not removed from the blood and transferred to the cells where it is needed for energy which ends up starving the cells in the body.
By improving insulin sensitivity with the help of exercise, this glucose will be removed from the blood by insulin and transferred to the cells and used more efficiently by the cells without any issues which will help to manage blood glucose levels.
Exercise (and diet) is also the best way to control weight. Type 2 diabetes has reached epidemic levels and the main culprit is obesity as it has been found that at least 80 percent of type 2 diabetes patients and those with pre-diabetes have been found to be obese. It is believed that obesity can lead to insulin resistance which increases the risk of developing pre-diabetes and type II diabetes.
It is also important to monitor blood sugar levels before and after exercise. If you have type I diabetes, you will need to make sure that you do not overly exert yourself to the point of becoming hypoglycemic which is a state of low blood sugar. Low blood sugar can lead to fatigue, dizziness, sweating, headaches, trembling and if severe, consciousness can be lost as well as falling into a coma.
Those with type II diabetes though they have more leeway with exercise, should still monitor their blood sugar levels before and after exercise.
If you are on medication, you need to work with your doctor to make the necessary adjustments to your exercise regimen. In addition, diabetics who deal with neuropathy need to ensure that the nerve endings in the feet are protected. High impact running or jogging may not be advised in cases of neuropathy.

Dehydration is another area for diabetics to be concerned about when exercising since frequent urination is one of the symptoms of diabtes. High impact exercise can also affect the capillaries in the eyes that have been weakened by diabetes. If you have eye problems due to diabetes, make sure that the exercise selected will not make vision problems worse or cause rapture which can occur especially if you use weights.
Talk to your doctor before beginning any exercise program and set realistic goals in order to avoid too high or too low blood sugar levels as well as the other issues that exercise may cause in people with diabetes. Start small and gradually build up.
Exercise is an important component of diabetes management and many of its other benefits include helping to lower blood pressure, raising good cholesterol (HDL) levels, strengthening bones, toning the heart and other muscles, eliminating stress, weight loss, strengthening the respiratory system, etc. Do it no matter how you feel. You will feel better and after you finish you will fill like you can conquer the world including diabetes!

4 Tips for travelling with diabetes

After we've been diagnosed with pre-diabetes, we often struggle to get our diets in sync with our body's needs. Once we've accomplished that, we can settle in to regular patterns, and routines and even anticipate unexpected situations that can derail our efforts to control insulin release throughout the day. But what happens when we travel on vacation or even worse, go to visit relatives who may or may not be diabetic, or much less care what they eat or what the feed you?

Tip 1
Drink lots of water. Staying hydrated is important when you're not in your regular environment. Eating, drinking and being merry, often come with visiting family and friends. Drinking water, can keep you fuller for longer periods of time and help curb the mindless eating that sometimes accompanies visits and vacations.
Tip 2
Maintain your activity levels. Don't suddenly become a couch potato. You've worked hard to increase your level of activity sense being diagnosed, so why stop now. In fact, this is a perfect opportunity to add some variety to your normal routine. Go for a walk around your relative's neighborhood, or around your vacation surroundings. It will be different and will allow you to discover new things.
If you jog, then jog. If you lift weights, you don't need weights to have a great workout. There are a number of body weight routines you can perform to keep up your resistance training while you're away.
Tip  3
Maintain portion control. This one can sneak up on you. When you're with relatives, they want to feed you as though you'll never eat again once you leave them. When you're on vacation, restaurants feed you as if you haven't eaten in a month. Remember, you are in control of what you put into your body.
When it comes to relatives, be honest. Tell them that you're watching you intake of food and you have to practice portion control. Family and friends will understand. Besides you can demonstrate portion control, tell them how delicious the food is and have that one piece of cherry or apple cobbler. Chance are, you will be the only one not complaining about how stuffed you feel after dinner. Offer the after dinner walk around the neighborhood.
Restaurants pose a similar, but different problem. Normally you get your food and see how much food there is to eat. At this point you have two choices. First you can visually break up the plate into smaller portions and only eat that much. Or, you can eat all you can and ask for a doggie bag. When we choose the latter option, we usually don't even eat the leftovers we bring home because the reheated taste is not the same or we just don't get around to eating it and throw it away. Another option at restaurants could be asking the waitress to halve your plate and bring you the doggie bag when you're ready to settle your bill. This way, you don't have to look at all that food and mentally fill up before you've eaten. This improves your chances of eating the leftovers before you have to throw them away.
Tip 4
Don't deprive yourself of treats. After all it is a vacation or a great visit with family and friends. Depriving yourself of the pleasures of these events can be counterproductive and send you into an inevitable binge. Have desert, or that hamburger you used to love so much. Once you've had, get back on track, it's as simple as that. Don't beat yourself up for doing either. Think of it as your secret weapon for success.
I hope these help you, and be sure to email me with your comments and additions.

Reducing Cancer Deaths by taking Aspirin Daily

A recent research report suggests that taking aspirin daily (75 milligrams) significantly lowers the chances of getting stomach and bowel cancers. The research found that cancer incidences / deaths for stomach, bowel and oesophageal cancers were lowered by 30-40%.

The evidence collected further suggests that those 50 years old or over taking aspirin for 10 years will prevent 122,000 cancer deaths over 20 tears. However, there would be no benefits seen from taking the drug until 5 years.
At face value, the report from the Queen Mary University of London Annals of Oncology looks encouraging. Professor Jack Cuzic of the university goes on to say that "Taking aspirin daily looks to be the most important thing we can do to reduce cancer after stopping smoking and reducing obesity."
Benefits versus harms

Admittedly, the report does go on to say that the evidence for the benefits is not so clear when preventing other cancers such as lung and breast cancer. While 100's of other studies looking into the possible benefits of aspirin also reveal possible harms.
The controversy giving the thumbs up to daily small doses of aspirin comes from its potential to cause internal bleeding (stomach and brain) and is potentially dangerous to smokers, excessive drinkers, and those on blood thinning medications. Other health risks from side-effects include ulceration, allergic reactions, ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss... -All this is nothing new. Indeed, anyone choosing to take a daily aspirin would do well to first get advice from a Doctor.
Overall
I would like to make a few pertinent points in reflection of this study and other related studies.
Overall, the suggested 122,000 lives saved (age group 50-64years) from the study were countered by 18,000 deaths due to side-effects. Even after medical advice, could you be certain that you're free from the possible side-effects? What if you're on the borderline of susceptibility? What if some unforeseen unexpected illness crops up over the years while taking daily aspirin that leads to serious or fatal illness from side-effects?
Sure, as recommended, stay away from smoking and excessive drinking, but another point I would like to make is the fact that in any of this there was never a mention of the most important things of all that contribute to cancer prevention/reversal or good health and I doubt if anyone in the mainstream media covering will follow up. The most important things for optimum health, prevention and reversal of cancer and other diseases are:
1... Making sure you get good nutrition from food that is wholesome and natural. A high percentage diet of raw food is highly recommended with good clean drinking water. Anti-cancer foods include high levels of anti-oxidants, vitamin B17, vitamin B15 present in fruits and vegetables and 15-20 minutes daily doses of sunlight for vitamin D3.

2. Exercise regularly. Something like 20-30 minutes daily and in the long-term can make quite a difference for cancer prevention.

3. Maintain a positive state of well-being. Keep an awareness going, that the mind-body-spirit connection has quite an effect on your health. Be appreciative of the things you have. Live a life that's nurturing, wholesome an expressive...
4. Avoid domestic and environmental toxicity. This includes chemicals, harmful x-rays and radiation sources.
I will leave you to do your own research where needed regarding the above 4 factors for cancer prevention and generally good health. Be persistent and persistent when applying.

Symptoms of a stress headache

Riding a bike is easy and fun once you learn how to do it. Do you remember when you learned to ride a bike? Once you practiced and acquired the necessary skills, you then became a lifelong bike rider or cyclist.
Just like learning to ride a bike, learning what causes the symptoms of a stress headache can help you to avoid the symptoms and enjoy less headaches.

There are 3 common type of headaches Migraines, Tension or Stress, and a Sugar Headache caused by low blood sugar.
Stress or tension headaches are the most common type. They usually start when you are under stress or in a stressful situation. The timing that a tension headache lasts can differ greatly. Tension headaches can last for a short time (30 minutes) or continue on for several days. If the stress you are under stays intense or does not subside, the stress headache can keep repeating and re-occurring. Anxiety is also a trigger for tension headaches. Oftentimes, tight neck or shoulder muscles can cause a headache to appear.

Symptoms of a Stress Headache:
* Pain that feels dull
* Pain can feel sharper at the center
* Constant pressure
* Location of the headache usually is on both sides of the temples
* Aching feeling on the back of the neck and top of the shoulders
* Symptoms get worse if left untreated
* Some experience a brain fog and have trouble concentrating
How often do you suffer from stress headaches? Stress headaches are common to experience from time to time. Suffering from them and having symptoms of a stress headache more than once a week, could mean its time to action and get away from the torment.
How to treat symptoms of a stress headache:
* Taking an over the counter pain reliever can be helpful
* Drinking enough fluids (mostly water) can aid in subsiding the headache
* Using relaxation and breathing techniques can calm the tension
* Massaging the back of the neck, temples, and base of head will help relieve tightness and loosen the muscles.
* Lying down and taking a little rest is beneficial to easing the throbbing pain
These techniques may only help to ease the pain for a while. Try managing your stress levels. Lowering the levels of your stress will greatly diminish the amount of tension headaches you endure. Relaxation techniques like breathing, meditating, and getting a massage, will help in managing your stress and anxiety.

Over the years the term 'conspiracy theory' is slowly losing its association with all those negative connotations; factually incorrect assertions coming from paranoid, wacko people... etc as we slowly realize that we're being played: Contrary to what the paid off corporate sponsored media want you to believe it is indeed more a case of 'conspiracy fact.' Here are my 5 health conspiracies.
1. Disinformation
The mass media disinformation out there can be seen for what it is; transparent, money predicated lies. There could never be a better example of this in health. Certain individuals in high places with the medical/pharmaceutical establishment would rather see you suffering long-term because there's no money to be made when you get healed... Remember the saying "A patient cured is a customer lost" and you know how much those greed-driven corporations hate losing customers...
So through various media sources they have to cover up the fact that for years there have been many cheap, natural health based alternative cures. One of the dirty tricks used to do this is to give out disinformation running ridicule on the natural health based cures and its innovators/pioneers. Don't be fooled by this. To which, I suggest that you stay on the enquiry and find out for yourself the truth.
2. Heart health and cod liver oil
I've written extensively on heart heath so rather than repeat myself I'll take the case of the cod liver oil situation as an example of a conspiracy. Even though it's know to greatly help heart patients Doctors in the USA cannot recommend natural healing cod liver oil. Some doctors do it, but if they were caught handing out information confirming its efficacy they could be struck of the list.
3. The Rife cancer machine
Royal Rife invented a cancer machine that killed cancer causing microbes by difference of electromagnetic frequency. In the 1930's a clinic was set up where the Rife's cancer machine cured 16 terminal cancer cases. In spite of a number of medical doctors giving their testimony to the effectiveness, the machine was barred by the San Diego Medical Society with threats of job loss if doctors continued using it. Rife courageously continued using the machine but into the 1950's with much trouble with the medical establishment who eventually had his machine and equipment laid to rest... Don't be fooled by those invalidating the machines effectiveness all the evidence is available; it was cheap and undercut the medical establishment's business which is why it was stopped.
4. Sunlight
Direct sunlight has some amazing cancer prevention properties: It gives the body doses of vitamin D3. A long-term study was conducted at the University of Crichton, Nebraska in North America. The three year study on some eleven hundred plus women revealed that those who received regular 10-15 minute daily doses of direct sunlight /vitamin D3 reduced the chances of getting cancer by a whopping great 68% on average! However, it could only be assumed that because of the medical establishment not able to make money on this, the findings were published in a low-key journal and virtually ignored. -Yet another case where money is more important than welfare concern.
5. Fluoridated Toothpaste
One thing that's enough to make anyone suspicious about fluoridated toothpaste is the small print on its tubes that says in so many words "If more than a pea-sized amount is swallowed by a 5 year old or less than then seek medical advice." What about us adults?? Fluoride is a toxin. It gets compared with other poisons such as arsenic and lead. It was used in wartime Nazi concentrations camps to dumb down prisoners since it is known to lower intelligence. It causes ageing, calcifies the pineal gland... so why use it at all?
